About the Role

If you are hired and are not already a trained guard, Securitas will cover your training. The guard training lasts 2 weeks, so you must be available to complete it and have 100% attendance. Training may take place in another location.

Since the position is a summer temporary job, we wish that you are available for work between weeks 25-32. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and fun activities in good time! Whether you want to work day or night, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

As a guard on a stationary security assignment, your primary task is to deliver safety to one of our international clients by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. You will be the face of the company when working at the entrance or reception and will check the people passing in and out. As a guard, patrolling will be done on foot or by car, both indoors and outdoors, day and night.

You will, for example, be responsible for:

• Conducting security checks at our client's site, such as ensuring alarms are activated, windows are closed, etc.
• Ensuring that no unauthorized persons are present among our client's operations and premises
• On a stationary security assignment, there are various types of technical assistance depending on the client, such as alarm panels for operational alarms and fire alarms. In some security assignments, surveillance cameras and remote control of gates and doors are common.

The assignments vary depending on the client.

Working as a guard is perfect for you who enjoy working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a guard for our international client, you will become part of a close-knit team. The length of work shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. It is common to work every other weekend.

Requirements

Mandatory

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• B driver's license

Preferred if you

• have worked with similar tasks before
• are computer literate and comfortable working administratively
• have an approved guard training, VU1 and VU2

As a person, we believe that you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periods of high work pace. You are interested in technology and have an easy time understanding instructions. We see that you are an independent person who trusts your own abilities, quickly understands problems, and solves them creatively. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved under the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
